Vaudreuil-Dorion's future municipal hub, which will bring together the library, a public square, exhibition halls and the town hall, is taking more and more shape in the rue Émile-Bouchard area. Work is progressing apace, transforming the site into a welcoming green space.

Here are just a few highlights of recent achievements:

A hundred trees will be planted this fall. A pathway encircled by a planted embankment will link the building to the residential area and the train station, providing a green pathway. In addition, 14,500 shrubs and perennials will enhance the landscape.

Inside, things are also moving forward:

- Mechanical equipment is beginning to be commissioned.

- Floor coverings are being laid, including polished concrete in the library.

- Painting is nearing completion.

- Plumbing fixtures are being installed.

The building should be officially accessible to the public in winter 2025.
