The city of Rigaud has been awarded the Concilivi seal, a seal given to organizations that put forward family-work balance practices for their employees.

This certification recognizes that the city has put in place innovative and favorable conditions to maintain and enhance the quality of life of its employees, and that it is available and open to new ideas to accommodate its employees.

This is the second certification the city has obtained in less than two years to recognize its management practices. The city was the first in Quebec to be awarded the "Humanly Distinctive Organization " seal by the BonBoss firm.

The Family-Work Balance Charter

As the family is one of the cornerstones of our society, the City has deemed it essential to adopt its Family-Work Balance Charter, in order to enshrine all the measures already in place through work conventions and agreements, measures which are put forward for the benefit of every person who contributes to its organization, by valuing their family role, regardless of the role they occupy within the team.

Measures include flexible working hours, compensatory time off, telecommuting, year-round summer hours, support for employees and their families through psychological assistance programs, employee support and recognition, access to physical fitness, leave for family responsibilities such as additional parental leave, leave for family obligations and the employer's additional contribution to maternity leave.

The Charter also provides for organizational adaptability, including the right to disconnect, and rotation or replacement to meet different legislative obligations, for example in the evenings, when work sessions or committees are held.
