The Vancouver Whistler 2025 Invictus Games, presented by ATCO and Boeing, run until February 16. The people of Vaudreuil-Soulanges have their eyes on local athlete Harold Strul, who performs in alpine skiing, swimming and wheelchair basketball. 

The Vancouver Whistler 2025 Invictus Games are the first-ever hybrid winter edition of this competition, which brings together more than 500 athletes from 25 countries. They compete in adapted sports, including the new winter sports of alpine skiing and snowboarding, Nordic skiing, biathlon, skeleton and wheelchair curling, in addition to the Invictus Games staples of indoor rowing, seated volleyball, swimming, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball.

To date, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges competitor has taken part in the wheelchair basketball competition alongside his teammates. The team representing Canada took on Germany on Saturday evening, February 8, live from the Vancouver Convention Centre. The game ended 11-8 in favor of Canada. 

The following day, the team crossed swords with New Zealand at the same venue. The team from Oceania won 12-8. 

Alpine skiing competitions featuring Harold Strul will be held this Tuesday, February 11 at the Whistler Alpine Venue, starting at 10:35 am. The event will run until Wednesday at the same venue, with competitors arriving at the top of the mountain at 10.35am. 

In swimming, Harold Strul will don his swimsuit this Friday, February 14 at 9:05 a.m., with freestyle (50 and 100 meters), breaststroke (50 meters), backstroke (50 meters) and the mixed 4 X100 relay on the program.
