In recent weeks, much has been written about the proposed construction of a composting facility on the territory of the Municipality of Saint-Télesphore. So it's hardly surprising that the subject has been at the heart of last week's poll. 

Announced on September 21 by the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC, the project, estimated at some $20 million, would, according to the MRC, enable it to better control the cost of organic waste management in the medium and long term.

While some view the project favorably, others are rather concerned. The subject therefore inspired this week's poll question: What do you think of the project to set up a composting platform on the Vaudreuil-Soulanges territory? 

Here are the answers obtained from the respondents surveyed: 

- I agree. We need to manage our residual materials: 42.6%. 

- I agree, but the project must be socially acceptable: 18.8%. 

- I'm rather indifferent on the issue: 2%; 

- No, I don't think it's worth the investment: 36.6%.
