Young Gabriel Grosu, a resident of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, has been selected to join the U15 Academy team of the CF Montreal soccer club. He will take part in the 2024-2025 season in the MLS NEXT championship. He will proudly wear number 61 and play in midfield.

Gabriel Grosu is 17 years old and plays in the Lac-Saint-Louis soccer league.

On September 6, the Montreal CF boys' under-15 team kicked off their 2024-2025 season in the MLS NEXT Championship, the fifth in the Club's Academy history.

The regular season will include nearly 30 matches from September to June. Ten will be played at the Nutrilait Center and open to the public free of charge. After their opening match at New England FC on Saturday, September 7, the three teams will play their first match of the season in Montreal on Saturday, September 21 against New York Soccer Club's private academy.

“Having three teams playing in MLS NEXT this season is very positive,” said Montreal CF Academy Director Marinos Papageorgopoulos. Starting at U15, players will be able to benefit from 4 to 5 years of exceptional exposure and develop in the best competitive soccer platform in North America.”
