Maxime Deschamps and Deanna Stellato-Dudek selected to the National Team for the 2024-2025 season.

To be named to the National Team, skaters had to place in the top three in the senior disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair or ice dance, at the 2024 Canadian National Skating Championships and/or be assigned to an ISU 2024 Grand Prix event, the ISU Grand Prix selection meeting, and must compete during the 2024-2025 season.

In total, fourteen athletes and two Quebec teams will represent Canada at international competitions this year.

Finland on the program

On June 9, the International Skating Union (ISU) officially announced the assignments for the 2024-2025 ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix events, which include stops in six countries.

Skaters and teams can be assigned to a maximum of two events. Skaters will accumulate points based on their placements at the events. The top six finishers in each discipline will qualify for the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final, to be held December 5-8, 2024, in Grenoble, France.

For their part, the Deschamps - Stellato-Dudek pair will take part in Skate Canada International in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from October 25 to 27, as well as in the Thophée Finlandia in Helsinki, Finland, from November 15 to 17.
