Cégep de Valleyfield opens its doors on October 28
Cégep de Valleyfield is pleased to announce that the next Open House on its main campus will be held on Saturday, October 28, a first in the institution's history.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and participants can look forward to a varied program. Cégep programs and services will be setting up information booths, as well as offering workshops and tours of the premises.
Attendees will also have the pleasure of listening to a talk by Catherine Beauchamp, columnist at 98.5 FM, and singer-songwriter François Massicotte. They will share their experiences at the Cégep de Valleyfield and the stimulating environment in which the institution is immersed.
In addition, the Portes ouvertes sur l'éducation event will be held again this year, this time on October 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This turnkey concept will welcome close to 1,200 Secondary 5 students. Workshops, an exhibitors' fair and other activities will enable visitors to discover the Cégep and the various options available to them in terms of higher education.
In addition to showcasing each of its programs, Cégep de Valleyfield is also inviting other CEGEPs, vocational training centers and specialized schools to provide students with a window on other possible avenues. Schools in the area have already received this personalized invitation, and many students have already confirmed their attendance.
The Centre d'études collégiales de Saint-Constant and the Centre d'études de Vaudreuil-Dorion will also be holding an open house from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on October 18 and 19 respectively. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives of the programs and services offered, as well as tour the various spaces.
