MRC invests in the Maison Trestler
The MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges donates $25,000 to the Maison Trestler.
The funds received will be used to carry out projects and invest in the conservation of this architecturally significant building, so that it will endure for generations to come.
"This renewed funding reiterates the importance the MRC places on the diversity of cultural offerings and heritage conservation in the region. The events organized by the Maison Trestler represent a cultural offering of which we are proud, and have been promoting the region for 225 years," emphasizes Patrick Bousez, Prefect of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Mayor of Rivière-Beaudette.
Action has been taken to preserve this magnificent heritage residence, including a major investment to restore and maintain the dormers and upstairs windows.
Action has also been taken to improve the customer service experience, and a new feature is being offered to the public: the historical reconstruction of the construction stages of the Maison Trestler in 3D modeling format.
"Thanks to partners like the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, this heritage residence can continue to be a cultural and social meeting and entertainment place, in addition to sharing the history of the Trestler family and its descendants," concludes Louise LeBlond-Vallée, General Manager of the Maison Trestler.
