An expense of $78,286.18 to make Lippé Street safer
At its regular meeting, the Coteaux municipal council awarded two contracts to make rue Lippé safer. A total of $78,286.18, taxes included, will be invested in the purchase and installation of signage in this sector.
Land subsidence on the banks of the Delisle River in recent years has required the locality to install temporary signage. In accordance with article 303 of the Highway Safety Code, any person responsible for work involving the occupation of a public road must install signage that complies with the standards of the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable.
In its resolution, the locality indicates that two scenarios have been considered, either leasing or purchasing temporary signage. The second option is considered the most economical by the Municipalité des Coteaux.
The amount is broken down as follows:
- Purchase of signage and traffic lights from Signel for $65,449.22, taxes included;
- Installation of signage by STP Signalisation for $12,836.96 taxes included;
