Thursday, October 10 Let's talk about neurocognitive disorders at Saint-Lazare
This Thursday, October 10, the Bibliothèque de Saint-Lazare will welcome eminent neurologist Dr. Serge Gauthier, who will give a talk entitled Parlons des troubles neurocognitifs (Let's talk about neurocognitive disorders).
The event, scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m., aims to raise awareness and provide basic information on Alzheimer's disease and other neurocognitive disorders.
Dr. Serge Gauthier, a professor in the Department of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, has decades of experience and numerous publications to his credit. He is considered a leading expert in the field of neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease.
This lecture is a unique opportunity to learn more about the different types of neurocognitive disorders. He will discuss the associated symptoms that manifest themselves as the disease progresses, and explain how these may differ from the typical concerns associated with aging. He will share practical tips on how to care for someone with a neurocognitive disorder.
The conference is aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers, students and anyone interested in medical advances.
The conference is open to Saint-Lazare residents and non-residents aged 15 and over. It will be held in French and English respectively on October 3 and 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the same location.
