Nearly 36,000 homes are without power this back-to-school morning.
According to information available on Hydro-Québec's website, equipment failures are at the root of the numerous blackouts affecting the region.
At the time of writing, Hydro-Québec was still analyzing the work required, and could not confirm when the situation would be restored.
As for the schools affected by the outages, the Centre de services scolaires des Trois-Lacs and the Commission scolaire Lester-B-Pearson had still not stipulated when they would be open.
