Two Pincourt residents have sent an open letter to Néomédia expressing their gratitude to Pincourt mayor Claude Comeau for his handling of the ice storm crisis last April. 

A new invasive species observed in the waters of Lake Saint-François

A new invasive species has been discovered in the waters of Lake Saint-François, more specifically in the Saint-Zotique area. At least, this was confirmed on Monday, July 17, by the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faunes et des Parcs.

Water meters in Pincourt: "No question of billing for the resource in the future"

Between now and the end of the year, almost 125 water meters will be installed in Pincourt. Launched on July 4, the pilot project aims to obtain more reliable data on the actual consumption of drinking water on the Town's territory.

Rue Lippée: no reopening planned for the moment

The cause of the collapse of a portion of rue Lippée in Les Coteaux last Saturday is still unknown.

In a communication sent to Néomédia, the person in charge of communications, Geneviève Juillet, confirmed that the Municipality was still awaiting the analysis report from the Ministère de la Sécurité publique. This should be submitted in the next few days.

1.9 M$ for the Municipalité des Coteaux

The MNA for Soulanges, Marilyne Picard, announced on Tuesday that $1,925,221 in funding from the Programme d'infrastructures municipales d'eau (PRIMEAU) 2023 has been granted to the Municipality of Les Coteaux for water infrastructure work.

A new fire truck for the Rigaud brigade

On Wednesday, July 12, Rigaud's fire department took delivery of its brand-new pumper-tanker. This investment of more than $819,000 will replace equipment dating back more than 30 years, including a 1991 pumper and a 1992 tanker, whose functionalities and specificities could only be used for around 50% of fire calls.

More adjustments needed for the aquatic complex

This week, Néomédia received a letter highlighting several issues encountered at Ville de L'Île-Perrot's new aquatic complex. The local resident raised a number of points for improvement, including the lack of space for visitors, the priority given to baseball over the pool, and so on.
