Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec
Vaudreuil-Dorion native Julie Nadeau appointed head of the RJCCQ Board of Directors
On the eve of International Women's Rights Day, the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec has confirmed the appointment of a woman from Vaudreuil-Dorionn as Chair of its Board of Directors. Julie Nadeau is well known on the regional scene for her extensive involvement in the business world.
She has been a member of the RJCCQ's Board of Directors since 2022. However, she has been sitting on various boards of directors in the regional business community since 2012.
‘My role will be to continue the mission of the RJCCQ, which acts as a provincial umbrella organization for some forty youth wings and young chambers of commerce in Quebec, supporting promising projects and helping them to develop,’ she sums up on the other end of the phone.
Ms Nadeau is a mobilizing leader in the service of innovation, communities and the mission of the RJCCQ. A professional manager and member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec, Julie Nadeau holds an executive MBA and certifications in leadership, governance and responsible management. She has a wealth of experience in consulting, coaching, training and project management, gained in SMEs, NPOs and as an entrepreneur.
A mobiliser, she has distinguished herself by creating award-winning projects at regional and national level. Passionate about innovation and community development, she is interested in entrepreneurship, digital integration and ‘intelligent’ networking, while offering a niche of specialised expertise in the agricultural sector.
‘It is with great enthusiasm that I take on this mandate as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec, surrounded by high-level directors and a solid team of permanent staff. I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me by my colleagues and members. For more than thirty years, the RJCCQ has been strengthening its mission to represent and promote a network of young chambers and youth wings from diverse geographic and cultural backgrounds, and I look forward to continuing my involvement in supporting a dynamic and committed group that wants to help build a prosperous economy,’ she added.
For his part, the President and CEO of the RJCCQ had nothing but good things to say about Ms Nadeau. ‘We are honoured to announce the appointment of Julie Nadeau from Vaudreuil-Dorion to head our Board of Directors. Her exceptional career, her involvement in the network and her unwavering commitment to Quebec's next generation of business leaders bring a valuable strategic perspective to guide the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec (RJCCQ) to new successes’.
Under her leadership, the RJCCQ will continue its mission to support the young start-ups, entrepreneurs and professionals who are shaping Quebec's economic future.
A transition marked by excellence
Becoming the fifth woman president of the RJCCQ, Ms Nadeau succeeds Alexandre Jumelle, who led the board of directors with a dedication and strategic vision that made an invaluable contribution to the group's development. With this appointment, the RJCCQ and its members are reaffirming their commitment to building an inclusive and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem for young Quebec businesspeople. They are also paying tribute to the women whose achievements have marked the history of the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec for more than three decades through the political, economic, cultural and social progress they have made in Quebec.
