Subsidies for resident families
Pointe-des-Cascades day camp: hiring day on March 10
The Municipality of Pointe-des-Cascades announces that day camp management for summer 2025 will be handled by Gestion Vincent et Limoges, a company recognized for its expertise in animation and certified by the Association des camps du Québec. Each week, children will have the chance to participate in the regular camp or choose the thematic camp offered.
To work at the day camp this summer, the municipality invites young people who want to apply as a counselor or day camp leader to come and meet the camp team at a hiring event on Monday, March 10, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Adrienne DeMontigny-Clément library, 85 chemin du Fleuve, Pointe-des-Cascades.
Subsidy for resident families
The municipal council is proud to support resident families by providing a subsidy to ease the cost of day camp registration. Weekly subsidies of $70 for a first child, $75 for a second child and $95 for a third child in the same family. These amounts will total nearly $35,000 in financial assistance for the 2025 summer season.
This initiative is in line with the Municipality's desire to offer equitable access to day camp activities and to promote the well-being of the community's young people. “We are committed to offering a quality day camp where children can thrive in a safe and stimulating environment. By entrusting management to GVL and providing financial support to families, we are ensuring that summer 2025 will be synonymous with fun and discovery for our young people,” emphasizes Mayor Peter Zytynsky.
Details on registration and the program of activities will be announced shortly.
