National School Feeding Program: Quebec delays signing agreement
At a time when Quebec is forcing School Service Centres to cut their budgets, the CAQ government is delaying signing an agreement with the federal government that would enable the Quebec school network to get its hands on $11.6 million under the National School Feeding Program.
Coteau-du-Lac refrigerated skating rink: citizens have their say
A total of 702 people voted against the proposed borrowing by-law totalling $4.5 million for the Coteau-du-Lac refrigerated skating rink project.
Land leased to build schools: a bill in Quebec’s sights
On February 13, the Member for Sherbrooke, Christine Labrie, presented Bill 896 to the National Assembly. The latter is intended to compensate local municipalities that are forced to cede land for the construction or expansion of schools.
A fundraising dinner at Les Cèdres in April
Once again in 2025, four dynamic young people from Vaudreuil-Soulanges are inviting interested parties to a fund-raising dinner on Saturday April 5 at the Pavillon récréatif des bénévoles des Cèdres. Their goal is to raise funds for the Relay for Life, to be held in Pincourt next June.

Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, made it very clear at his press briefing on Tuesday, March 4, at around 11am. There was no question of Canada bowing down to the United States in the face of the 25% tariffs imposed on Canadian products crossing U.S. borders. The country is retaliating by imposing similar measures on products from Uncle Sam's country.
All American wines and products to be removed from SAQ shelves
It will soon no longer be possible to buy wines and other products from the USA at the Société des alcools du Québec and on its website. This was confirmed earlier this Tuesday, March 4, as the 25% tariffs promised by the Trump administration finally came into effect.
