The Town of Hudson is preparing its traditional St. Patrick's Day parade which will be held next Saturday, March 15 in the heart of its village core. Young and old, local residents or not, are invited to join the festivities which will begin at 1 p.m.

During this week, local businesses celebrate with live music, product launches, comedy shows, and guest bartenders. For over a decade, the St. Patrick's Day Parade has been a staple in Hudson. This year it will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Westwood Senior High School and head north along Côte Saint-Charles Street before turning east on Main Street and continuing along Main Street to end at the Community Center. Street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect.

Those wishing to attend the event should take this schedule into consideration as vehicles will not have access to Main Street until the end of the parade:

- Rue Côte St-Charles between Rue Ridge and Rue Main, from 10 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m.;

- Main Street, between Côte St-Charles Street and Beach Street, from 12:30 p.m. until approximately 4 p.m.;

From March 14 to 15, the planned closures are:

- The Community Center parking lot, from Friday evening, March 15, until approximately 4 p.m. on March 15;

- Parking is very limited in the area between Main and Lakeview streets and along the detour;

Emergency services will have access to the street at all times. During the parade, access to the MédiCentre will be via the following route: Lakeview, then Cedar heading north and Main Street heading east.

Following the parade, interested parties are invited to the community center for a family celebration which will be held there from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. On site, hot drinks, treats and Irish dances and music are on the menu. A photographer will also be on hand to take free photos with the Queen.
