Smash Mouth at the Régates de Valleyfield
For its 85th edition, the Régates de Valleyfield is hitting back with a headlining performance by American band Smash Mouth. The group will perform on the regatta stage on July 12.
A pop-rock icon of the early 2000s, the band has scored six top-20 hits. Among these, Walkin' On The Sun, Can't Get Enough of You Baby and All Star" have reached the top spot, the latter even passing the impressive milestone of one billion listens on Spotify. Younger listeners will recognize them above all from the soundtrack to the famous Shrek film, released in 2001, when the band covered the hit I'm a Believer, originally released in 1966 and performed by The Monkeys.
"For our 85th edition, we wanted to hit hard with a program that combines nostalgia and novelty. The arrival of Smash Mouth represents a historic moment for our festival, and demonstrates our ability to attract world-class artists," says Émilie Daoust, General Manager of the Régates de Valleyfield.
