Jean-Charles Goyeche, the new owner of Maison Charlebois, has announced his intention to develop a real estate project in close collaboration with citizens, elected officials, and entrepreneurs. Rather than imposing his vision, he wants to rely on a participatory co-creation process to ensure that the project meets the community’s needs.

In an interview with Néomédia, he explained that his approach would involve collaboration between elected officials, citizens, and entrepreneurs to design a project that aligns with the community’s needs.

“The goal is to create a collaborative process between the three parties: elected officials, citizens, and entrepreneurs. Working together to design and implement real estate projects that meet the community’s needs is the most important thing,” he stated.

He emphasized the importance of addressing economic and environmental realities while fully integrating citizens into the decision-making process.

The CEO of Rebel Investissement, the company he co-founded, plans to organize public consultations, participatory workshops, and surveys to gather residents’ concerns and ideas.

“We want to identify all the concerns and ideas of the citizens. This ensures that the project reflects their expectations,” he added.

A Project in the Reflection Phase

For now, no construction project has been confirmed. Mr. Goyeche assured that no permit applications would be submitted in 2025. “We are still in a reflection phase. Our goal for this year is to consult all stakeholders before defining a final project,” he specified.

To further involve the population, Rebel Investissement even intends to organize its own consultation session. “We want to take the time to consult the population, whether it’s about the materials used, the type of design, or the layout. We aim to set up a brainstorming workshop that will give everyone the opportunity to express their opinions and concerns,” explained Mr. Goyeche, emphasizing that this is not just about informing but also about fostering a participatory process.
