On Wednesday, February 12, Développement Vaudreuil-Soulanges (DEV) launched its Professional Services Directory, a must-have resource for companies, towns and municipalities in the region looking for qualified service providers.

Available now on DEV's website, this new tool has been designed to highlight local expertise and facilitate the search for business partners. By grouping services offered by sector of activity, the Carnet makes it easy to find professionals suited to their needs, and to build strategic collaborations for their projects.

A practical, structured tool

The Professional Services Directory lists experts in several key fields,
including :

- Insurance
- Accounting
- Law
- Marketing and graphic design
- Human resources
- IT and office support

"I salute the efforts of the DEV team, who quickly put in place a concrete tool to encourage and enhance local skills. In today's uncertain economic climate, we need to collaborate and help each other. Doing business with local suppliers is what buying local is all about," says Guy Pilon, President of DEV and Mayor of Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Encouraging the local economy

Choosing local professional services has many advantages. It gives you access to experts who understand the specifics of the regional market, and helps you develop solid, lasting business relationships. Finally, this type of partnership contributes directly to the economic vitality of the community.

A call to service companies

The notebook will be updated regularly to reflect the diversity and quality of services offered in the region. The first update is scheduled for March.

"We're aware that the tool doesn't include all the region's professionals at the moment, which is why we're encouraging professional service providers to fill in the form so we can add them. In the future, we also plan to enhance the service areas listed," notes Marie-Eve Ménard, Director of Business Services.
