Les Citadins shine in athletics with a string of medals

The Citadins from École secondaire de la Cité-des-Jeunes shone at the school's indoor track and field competition, held on Wednesday February 5 at complexe sportif Claude-Robillard in Montreal. Nearly a dozen medals were won by the track and field club.
On the top step of the podium, Ian Auger won two gold medals, one in the 200-meter and the other in the 800-meter. Léanne Allard also took gold in the 60-metre hurdles, as did Anabel Dubreuil Bissonnette, who triumphed in the high jump.
The juvenile women's team rounded off the competition in style by being crowned regional champions after winning the 4 x 200-meter relay.
Nathan Khouzam won silver thanks to his performance in the 60-meter hurdles, while Zaria Battershill-Azimyt distinguished herself in the 200-meter event, taking second place on the podium. Raphaëlle Gagnon finished second in the 60-meter hurdles, and Norah Martin also took silver thanks to a fine performance in the 1500-meter run.
Last but not least, Anna Hakka rounded off the harvest with a bronze medal in the 800 metres.
Many of the medal winners will earn their place at the provincial championships, to be held once again at the complexe sportif Claude-Robillard on Saturday, April 12.
