Attempted murder in Saint-Polycarpe

A man in his thirties was the victim of an attempted murder on Sunday, February 2, around 9:30 p.m., while in a residence on chemin de l'Église in Saint-Polycarpe. The day after the incident, the Sûreté du Québec confirms that an investigation is underway and that no arrests have been made at this time. 

According to information shared by the SQ, the 911 call indicated that a man was on the ground and bleeding heavily. 

“He was taken care of by paramedics who went to the scene. He had significant injuries that were life-threatening at the time. This morning, this is no longer the case and his condition is stable. The investigation is continuing and no arrests have been made to date in connection with this case,” sums up police spokeswoman Elizabeth Marquis.
