Cégep de Valleyfield launches work on its study center in Vaudreuil-Dorion
On Monday, January 27, Cégep de Valleyfield officially began renovation work on its Vaudreuil-Dorion center d'études collégiales.
Announced last October, the work represents an investment of over $1.5 million, and includes the fitting out of new classrooms and the purchase of the required furniture and teaching equipment, with a view to enhancing the addition of study programs to be offered as of fall 2025.
The new facility will include a multidisciplinary clinic-school, where a wide range of care and services will be offered to the public, a dozen classrooms, offices and laboratories, as well as a dining and recreation room for the college community.
Physiotherapy Techniques, Special Education Techniques and the pre-university Human Sciences program will now be offered at the center, in addition to the Nursing program, which until now has been available only during winter admissions.
In addition to the programs, a number of services will be deployed within the Study Centre (individual pedagogical assistance, guidance service, psychosocial services, student life, etc.) to ensure that the student community is well served.
Prospective students wishing to learn more about the programs to be offered in Vaudreuil-Dorion, as well as to discover the future spaces thanks to a virtual reality station, are invited to attend the open house on February 5.
