After intense clashes in the minor category, it's now the turn of the senior teams registered for La Classique Hivernale de Saint-Zotique to take to the ice at Parc Quatre-Saisons for the weekend. The first series of games took place this Friday evening, January 24, with a duel between the Ronsco and Les Cols Bleus.

The teams will battle it out all weekend until Sunday evening, promising some fiery matches.

For the first match of the evening, it was the Ronscos who got the better of their opponents in a match where the intensity was very much in evidence. Offensive opportunities were plentiful on both sides, and the 11-9 scoreline brought the face-off to a close, setting the tone for the 2025 edition of the Senior Winter Classic.

For the second part of the evening, Dominion Plumbing put on their skates and equipment to take on North Ice. Both teams put on a good show, with the former defeating the latter 7-3.

The third clash of the evening also featured the staff of Plomberie ML as they tried to get the better of their opponents Les Bombers. Their efforts were rewarded as the skating plumbers found the back of the net nine times to their rivals' five.

It wasn't until the penultimate game of the evening that the first shutout took place. Team Grand Man took a comfortable eight-goal lead over Les Boys.

For the final game of the evening, Hockey Salaberry and Air Technico crossed swords. The former secured a comfortable four-goal lead to end the game 6-2.

This Saturday, January 25, 18 games are on the schedule, with the women's teams taking to the stage for a shot at the championship title.
