In response to the announcement of the closure of the Amazon warehouse, Coteau-du-Lac mayor Andrée Brosseau has still not received any information regarding the future of the site.

In a press release, Mayor Brosseau indicates that she does not foresee any fiscal impact for the City of Coteau-du-Lac. “Even if the warehouse is empty following Amazon's departure, the City will continue to collect taxes on the building.”  The municipality is nevertheless continuing its efforts to encourage sustainable economic development.

It expresses its solidarity with the employees affected by Amazon's announcement, particularly those on its territory. “We are saddened to learn of Amazon's closure and the impact it will have on our employees and their families. We would like to express our sincere solidarity to all those affected by this situation.”
