The City of Coteau-du-Lac and the Municipality of Les Coteaux are joining forces to offer a series of unique and convivial winter activities as part of the Plaisirs d'hiver event. This first collaboration showcases the richness of both territories and promises to warm up winter for residents with a diverse and festive program.

Kick off the season with the Winter Fair

The winter festivities season kicks off with the Winter Fair, to be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Parc Réjean-Boisvenu in Les Coteaux. Families are invited to enjoy a festive afternoon with background music, an ice ring for skating, fairground games, and the loan of tubes and fatbikes. Participants can also enjoy free hot chocolate and maple taffy. Citizens are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups for an eco-responsible event.

Immerse yourself in a day of sports and festivities

On Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m., Parc Henri-Paul-Desforges in Coteau-du-Lac will host a Sports Day. Activities will include an introduction to snow skating, the loan of fatbikes and sliding tubes, and a musical atmosphere. From 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., participants can also take advantage of Rekcrea's Ballados d'hiver bike loan service.

The day continues in the evening, from 6 pm to 9 pm, with an illuminated slide, offering a magical experience under the stars.

Explore the magic of torchlit trails

On Friday, February 28, 2025, starting at 6 p.m., the Centre de la nature quatre saisons, located on Route 338 in Coteau-du-Lac, will host a Torchlight Trail. This illuminated 2 km route promises a magical adventure accessible on foot, by sleigh or with a stroller. Participants will enjoy a warm atmosphere and a variety of entertainment, for an unforgettable evening.

Please note that dogs are not allowed on this event. Enjoy a gourmet evening with your family The festivities come to a close with Winter Gourmandises, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Audrey Park in Les Coteaux. This warm evening around the fire will include a storyteller from 6 to 7 p.m. and a chansonnier from 8 to 9 p.m. Families can enjoy free hot chocolate and treats, while comforting beverages such as beer and mulled wine will be on sale.

Strengthening ties between the two communities

This joint initiative between Les Coteaux and Coteau-du-Lac demonstrates the commitment of both municipalities to enriching the citizen experience by pooling their resources and expertise. Plaisirs d'hiver was produced in partnership with Loisir et Sport Montérégie, with financial assistance from the Quebec government under the Programme d'aide financière aux initiatives locales et régionales en matière d'activité physique.
