Héma-Québec will be holding blood donor clinics in the region from now until the beginning of February.

Here are the dates and locations of scheduled clinics:

Monday and Tuesday, January 27 and 28:

- Cégep John-Abbott (21275 Lakeshore Road, H9X 3L9) from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m;

Thursday, January 30:

 - Center sportif Soulanges ( 100, rue des Loisirs, J0P 1X0) from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

We recommend that you make an appointment to donate blood. However, if you are passing by a blood drive and are available to donate, don't hesitate to check with the team on site to see if they can accommodate you.

Before giving blood

In the hours leading up to your blood donation, we recommend that you drink a minimum of 500 ml of water or juice and eat well, avoiding fatty foods. To facilitate blood collection, wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up above the elbow.

You should also carry your donor card or proof of identity.

Strict selection criteria have been established if you wish to donate blood. To find out more about these criteria or to obtain further information, visit the organization's website.
