From January 18 to February 15, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion invites residents to enjoy winter activities as part of its Plaisirs d’hiver series.

Once again this year, citizens can embrace the joys of the cold season with fun activities at Parc-nature Harwood and Maison-Valois Park.

Parc-nature Harwood
On January 19, residents can try fat biking, while February 8 will feature a 2 km obstacle course through the park.

On weekends, various winter activities will be available. Cross-country skiing will be offered on January 26 and February 15, from 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with a representative from Ski de fond Québec on-site to provide basic technique tips.

Vaudreuil-Dorion residents can secure their spot by registering online at ville.vaudreuil-dorion.qc.ca starting January 13 at 9 a.m. All equipment will be provided free of charge at the reception pavilion.

The ever-popular torchlit hikes will return on January 18, February 1, and February 15. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., participants can enjoy a 2 or 3.5 km walk along torchlit trails, with the last departure at 8:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight, though free headlamp rentals are available for residents with a citizen card. Dogs are not permitted on the trails.

Maison-Valois Park
On Fridays—January 24, January 31, and February 7—DJ Duffix will bring energy to Maison-Valois Park with themed musical arrangements. Entertainment, roaming characters, and the Mozaïk Caravan will add to the festive atmosphere, alongside the park’s skating rink and sliding hill.

The skateboard school Les Toasters will be present to demonstrate snowskating and offer beginner sessions. Residents can also borrow skates, snow scooters, and snowskates for free with a citizen card. Equipment rentals will be free of charge, and tubing rentals will be available at no cost for both residents and non-residents.

To warm up, visitors can enjoy free hot beverages inside Maison Valois.

For more details, consult the full program in the Plaisirs d’hiver section on the city’s website at ville.vaudreuil-dorion.qc.ca.

Please note that schedules and activities are subject to change without notice based on weather conditions. Citizens can call the Info-Cancellation line at 450-424-8502 to confirm event updates.
