Claude DeBellefeuille to seek re-election
The day after Justin Trudeau announced his departure, Claude DeBellefeuille, Member of Parliament for Salaberry-Suroît, announced that she will be seeking a new mandate in the next election.
In office from 2006 to 2011 and again since October 2019, the Bloc Québécois MP will be seeking a fifth term in 2025.
During her last mandate, Ms. DeBellefeuille made a name for herself on issues such as the Seaway (an application to find out when the bridge is open), border control (a single telephone number for citizens) and the defence of supply management and seniors (Bills C-282 and C-319).
Claude DeBellefeuille is determined to continue her work to achieve concrete results for Quebec and the citizens of her riding.
“I'm extremely happy in my role as MNA, it's a position that fills me with happiness. Serving the citizens of Salaberry-Suroît is a real honour. My work in Ottawa is not over, and I'm determined to keep things moving,” says Claude DeBellefeuille.
If re-elected, this will be her third consecutive term of office, and fifth in 18 years.
