Given the popularity of the Community Development Fund and the success of previous editions, the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges is announcing its first call for projects for the year 2025.

Projects submitted by municipalities and organizations must fall within the scope of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges' Politique de développement social durable (PDSD), and therefore propose initiatives to improve living conditions for citizens and the well-being of communities. Interested promoters will benefit from personalized support to fuel their thinking and develop structuring initiatives that meet the needs of Vaudreuil-Soulanges communities.

In the 2024-2025 edition of the $100,000 Community Development Fund, four projects from municipalities, community organizations and cooperatives were supported, generating over $226,832 in investments. This support measure is made possible by the Fonds régions et ruralité (FRR) - volet 2, from the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l'Habitation.

“For municipalities and organizations, the Community Development Fund is a unique opportunity to obtain funding for projects that meet the needs of the population. In the past, it has contributed to the development of our region by supporting a variety of inclusive projects. This year, we once again wish to support the municipalities and organizations of Vaudreuil-Soulanges by offering them this funding opportunity, aimed at improving the quality of life in our various living environments”, declared Patrick Bousez, Prefect of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Mayor of the municipality of Rivière-Beaudette.
