Born Michel de Nostredame in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in 1503, Nostradamus was an apothecary by trade and an avid traveler.

Published in 1555 in France, his predictions appeared in a work entitled Les Prophéties. Written as enigmatic quatrains, these poetic stanzas have intrigued readers for centuries.

Nostradamus is credited with foreseeing events such as World War II, the rise of Nazism and Hitler, and the French Revolution, among others. Experts claim that nearly 70% of his predictions have come true over the years. Others, like the end of the world at the turn of the millennium, have clearly not materialized.

But what might 2025 look like, according to Nostradamus? His writings suggest that 2025 could mark the beginning of World War III—nothing less.

He predicted that southern Europe might be invaded by a "Russo-Arab alliance" and could be particularly affected by violent battles.

On the climate front, Nostradamus foresaw that global warming would continue to impact the planet, bringing severe storms and natural disasters.

Finally, from an economic perspective, the astrologer predicted a major crisis that could result in widespread shortages, particularly in medical supplies and food.

Coupled with war, this crisis could drive many populations to flee toward the Americas and even Australia.

And What About Baba Vanga?

The renowned blind seer of Bulgarian origin, Baba Vanga, is also famous worldwide for her predictions.

Born Vangelica Pandeva Dimitrova, she is credited with foreseeing events such as the collapse of the Soviet Union, the rise of ISIS, the 9/11 attacks, the Chernobyl disaster, and the tragic death of Princess Diana.

Like Nostradamus, Baba Vanga’s predictions are far from cheerful. According to her, 2025 could mark the beginning of the end of the world. But don’t panic—it’s not the immediate destruction of humanity, but rather the start of a series of events that will eventually lead to the end of the world in 5079. So, there’s still hope!

She also predicted that in 2025, a war in Europe would impact the majority of the population and leave widespread devastation across the continent, aligning with Nostradamus’ forecasts.

Whatever the case, 2025 is poised to be a significant and surprising year. But after everything we’ve endured since 2020, can we really be surprised anymore?

If everyone does their part and shows kindness, perhaps we can make the coming year a little gentler and more peaceful. At least, I like to believe so.
