With winter just around the corner, Santé Québec Montérégie-Ouest shares a few tips on how to avoid winter health problems. 

Believe it or not, prevention is better than cure.  Here are a few tips that will save you and those around you a lot of trouble: 

- Cough and sneeze into your elbow;
- Wash your hands regularly with soap for at least 20 seconds;
- Clean and disinfect your environment regularly;
- Ventilate your home;
- Make sure vaccinations are up to date;

- Monitor his symptoms and, if they arise, keep his distance from others.

If you need to consult a health professional, it's important to remember that emergency rooms are reserved for health problems requiring immediate intervention. Otherwise, we strongly recommend that you consider other alternatives.
