At a special meeting held on Tuesday, December 10, the Council of the Municipality of Très-Saint-Rédempteur adopted a balanced budget forecast of $2.43 million for the 2025 fiscal year, as well as its three-year capital expenditure program for 2025-2026-2027.

The Council is therefore presenting a budget that has been conscientiously prepared and thought through with a view to ensuring the sustainability of public finances, without compromising on the maintenance, quality and enhancement of municipal services. As a result, the general property tax rate has risen slightly by 2.0%, from $0.4754 per $100 of assessment to $0.4849.

As a result, the total increase in the tax bill for an average single-family home valued at $453,914 will be limited to $39.39 for the year 2025, a difference of 1.48% compared to the previous year.

This slight variation can be explained by the reduction in some rates, such as sludge emptying and the collection of domestic residual and recyclable materials, as well as by the addition of a rate for ecocentres.

This budget was prepared with a view to limiting tax increases, taking into account taxpayers' ability to pay. Despite increases in the cost of agreements, municipal contracts and co-payments, a balanced budget was achieved thanks to subsidies, allocations from various funds and the Municipality's excellent financial health. It should be noted that incompressible expenses represent almost 94% of the operating budget.

The Municipality has also adopted its Three-Year Capital Expenditure Program (PTI), which identifies all the investments of varying scope that it intends to make over the next three years.

The ITP includes more than fifteen projects with a total expenditure of $2.89 million over three years. These projects include, among others:

- Rehabilitation work on certain municipal roads;
- Upgrading and renovating the Community Centre;
- Renovation of the community hall to accommodate the library;
- landscaping work and furniture acquisition at the Community Centre Park;
- Development of a future park on Promenade du Cerf;
- Etc.

It should be noted that these projects will be financed, in whole or in part, by government grants, municipal surpluses and funds, and long-term borrowing.

Documents detailing the 2025 budget forecasts and the 2025-2026-2027 ITP can be found
