The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) will close the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge towards Vaudreuil-Dorion during the night of December 12, 10 pm to December 13, 5 am.

This obstruction is required to complete site layout operations in preparation for the winter period, as part of the construction of the new Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.

Consequently, there will be a complete closure of Autoroute 40 westbound between Exit 41 - Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue/Boul. des Anciens-Combattants/Autoroute 20 westbound/Île Perrot and the entrance from avenue Saint-Charles.

Westbound, access to chemin Senneville will be maintained for local traffic. The detour road will be marked with temporary signage.

Earlier this week, MTMD indicated that due to the deterioration of certain beams, the opening of a fourth traffic lane was impossible, and that the work required to reopen the road would continue over the winter.
