An investment of $3.6M
Rigaud's Super C opens its doors
After several weeks of construction, the 111th store in the Super C chain officially opened its doors this morning in Rigaud. Thanks to a $3.6 million investment, the 24,700 sq. ft. store now employs 65 people - most of the former Metro employees, plus some 30 new faces.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday evening, in the presence of numerous dignitaries and members of management. Already on Thursday morning, shoppers were lining up in front of the store to discover the new facilities.
Métro closed its doors on October 9, to allow time for the transformation into Super C.
To celebrate this major investment in the community, the store also presented a cheque for $5,000 to Moisson Sud-Ouest, a long-standing partner, notably through its Récupartage program for recovering unsold products.
“The addition of this new store is part of a deployment plan that will enable us to consolidate our position as one of Quebec's leading discounters. We are proud to say that we offer the best value for money,” says Loïc Cloutier, Senior Vice President - Super C.
“Our teams mobilize every day to offer consumers quality products at very competitive prices, and a shopping experience that's both simple and efficient. We're committed to three guarantees - Always fresh, Always in stock and Always low price,” adds Mr. Cloutier.
The Super C store in Rigaud offers a wide variety of fresh meats prepared on site by a team of experts, large-format products, numerous organic and natural products, a selection of craft and microbrewery beers, as well as Première Moisson products.
Super C is part of the Moi rewards program, which enables customers of Super C, Metro, Jean Coutu, Brunet and Première Moisson to save even more by accumulating points in nearly 900 stores and redeeming them instantly at the checkout to save even more on their everyday essentials.
Super C Rigaud is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
