Another busy week draws to a close. Here's what's been happening in Vaudreuil-Soulanges over the past few days.     

December 15: the Choeur classique sings at Saint-Télesphore church

On Sunday, December 15 at 2 p.m., the church of Saint-Télesphore will host a Christmas concert by the Choeur classique Vaudreuil-Soulanges, performing its most beautiful Christmas melodies.

The CSSTL wants two new elementary schools in its territory

Launch of La BaraK tiers lieu by Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi in Vaudreuil-Dorion

Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CJEVS) successfully celebrated the launch of La BaraK tiers lieu with an afternoon and evening open house on November 7. La BaraK tiers lieu is a space dedicated to young people aged 18 to 35, designed to break down isolation and develop links to create community life in the area. It's an inclusive, sharing place where ideas emerge to help shape the place according to the needs and interests of the clientele.

Opening of a roadside for buses on Highway 40

The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) will allow the use of the roadside by buses (UAB) on Highway 40 eastbound, between the entrances near Saint-Charles Avenue and Chemin des Chenaux in Vaudreuil-Dorion, starting November 16.

Affordable housing: Vaudreuil-Dorion reverses its decision

At its November 18 meeting, the municipal council of the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion will propose the adoption of a resolution repealing resolution no. 24-11-0871, which authorized the conditional use to allow the construction of a three-storey residential building, with 100% of the 18 units being affordable housing, located at 25, rue Saint-Michel.

The John Abbott College Foundation launches the 5th edition of its virtual auction

This Friday, November 15, the John Abbott Cegep Foundation is inviting the people of Vaudreuil-Soulanges to show their generosity by bidding, in large numbers, on one of the many items offered in its virtual auction. The initiative, which runs until November 24, is one of the fundraising activities set up by the organization to support the school's college community.
