One hundred trees planted in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot
The City of Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot announces that approximately one hundred trees were planted on the grounds of Fire Station 26 on Saturday, November 9, as part of the 2024 Planting Relay organized by Earth Day.
With the assistance of Beavers and Cubs from the 16th Île Perrot Scout group and the Adventurers from the 19th Vaudreuil-Dorion Scout group, around one hundred trees were planted—double the initial target—to reforest the area surrounding Fire Station 26 at the intersection of Don-Quichotte and Saint-Joseph Boulevards.
“A big thank you to the Scouts for their participation in planting trees near Fire Station 26,” said Danie Deschênes, Mayor of Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot. “Through this type of commitment, you are agents of positive change within our community. Bravo!”
The City of Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot is pleased to participate in the Planting Relay and to be among the municipalities across the country that have taken on the challenge of planting trees in honor of Earth Day.
