On Friday, November 15, starting at 6 p.m., the Marie-Uguay Library in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot will be celebrating the Western theme for the 2024 edition of the Nuit blanche.

Inspired by Montréal en lumière's Nuit blanche, the library team hopes to offer a succession of cultural activities throughout the evening. The Nuit blanche à la bibliothèque is intended to be a unifying and festive event, with a varied program aimed at a wide range of clienteles.

The Marie-Uguay Library invites you to don your boots and cowboy or cowgirl hat and hop aboard the train bound for the Far West.

The program includes the unique digital exhibition À bord du NDIP Express created by La Cargaison, which will be unveiled especially for the Nuit blanche.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., young and old alike can show off their skills in the cowboy course, a series of games of skill including lasso shooting, horseshoe throwing and darts. For the more adventurous, a mechanical bull will be in action from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (minimum height 52 in. or 132 cm).

From 6 to 8 p.m., artist-in-residence Roxane Campeau will take part in the evening, creating a live mosaic. The artist will be on hand to discuss her artistic approach, career and more. An origami-style collective craft will also be on offer from 6 to 9 p.m.

Dance fans will be in for a treat during this Nuit blanche. A parent-child creative dance workshop will be offered from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., and the greatest country line-dancing classics will rock the library from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

At 7:15 p.m., the circus will take us to the Far West. To Western tunes, Yaya takes you to a fantastical desert where madness, contrasting humor, clowning and hula hooping come together.

The seventh art will also be in the spotlight during this Western All-Nighter. From 9 p.m. to midnight, a Western-themed film will be shown.
