During library opening hours
Marie-Ève Longtin exhibits at the Saint-Lazare library in November
Saint-Lazare artist Marie-Ève Longtin is exhibiting her work at the Saint-Lazare municipal library until November 29, during library opening hours.
The artist is passionate about human development and social relations. Her experience as an art teacher and her proximity to young people have always influenced her artistic work. Her work is strongly inspired by the Canada goose and the monarch butterfly, two fascinating creatures in their relationship to time and space. For Ms. Longtin, the migration of these animals symbolizes the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new one.
She recently took part in the group exhibition Puentes de Papel, presented in 2020 in Mazatlán, Mexico and at the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges in 2022. More recently, her work Nuances des Terres was selected for the traveling exhibition Les couleurs de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. The artist has won several awards and distinctions, and has also sat on selection committees for various regional competitions.
Admission to the exhibition is free and open to residents and non-residents. No registration is required. The municipal library is located at 1205, rue du Bois in Saint-Lazare. For information, call 450-424-8000, ext. 260.
