COOP CSUR invites candy hunters to conserve their wrappers
This year, Coop CSUR is teaming up with TerraCycle to give Halloween candy wrappers a second life. How can we do this? By recycling them so that they don't end up in the province's landfills.
Here are three simple steps to get involved:
Publicize: Invite your friends and family to keep their candy wrappers and bring them back to you;
Collect: Collect the wrappers in a plastic or paper garbage bag;
Keep: drop the bag off at a collection point. They are located at 633 rue Principale in Sainte-Marthe or at Marché Écolocal at 80 route 338 in Les Coteaux.
Anyone interested in launching this initiative at their school can write to Coop CSUR to collect the wrappers between November 12 and 15.
COOP CSUR is committed to collecting and returning all candy wrappers using a zero waste box purchased from TerraCycle.The wrappers don't have to be clean, but they must be empty.
