A precautionary boil water advisory is currently in effect in Saint-Polycarpe until further notice. Before consuming water, citizens are asked to follow a few instructions to ensure their safety.

It is recommended to use tap water previously boiled for at least one minute, or bottled water, for :

- Drinking and preparing beverages;

- Preparing baby bottles and baby food;

- Washing and preparing raw foods (fruits, vegetables, etc.);

- Preparing foods that do not require prolonged cooking (soups, desserts, etc.);

- Making ice cubes;

- Brush your teeth and rinse your mouth;

- Giving your pets something to drink.

Tap water can be used directly for:

- Cooking foods that require prolonged boiling;

- Washing dishes with hot water and detergent, making sure to dry them thoroughly;

- Use the dishwasher, provided it is set to the hottest cycle;

- Wash clothes and take a shower or bath.
