On Tuesday, October 22, nearly 170 young people had the chance to take off on a magical 24-hour trip to Walt Disney World, Florida, thanks to the Voyages de Rêve-Montréal Foundation and the support of Air Canada.

This year, the experience took on a special meaning for the Town of Pincourt, as four young Pincourt residents were nominated by the Town to experience this magical adventure, thanks to referrals received by the area's three elementary schools and the local food bank. A unique collaboration with our municipal partners, to offer a memorable day, rich in emotions and discoveries.

Every detail was thought out to create unforgettable memories: an early-morning departure under an honorary water arch from the airport firefighters, a full day to enjoy Disney attractions, meals and snacks, an allowance for shopping in the Disney boutiques, surprise gifts on the plane home, and a medal given to each child by the captain. The trip ended with a warm and emotional welcome from the families, eager to be reunited with their young adventurers.

This dream became a reality thanks to the involvement of Mayor Claude Comeau and the members of the Pincourt municipal council, who enthusiastically supported this initiative.

“Seeing these youngsters have such an exceptional experience reminds us of the importance of helping to sustain initiatives that benefit children. Thanks to our collective efforts, we were able to offer these children a day they will never forget. We are extremely proud of this achievement,” said Claude Comeau, Mayor of Pincourt.

The Fonds d'entraide communautaire des employés de la Ville de Pincourt also contributed to the cause by financially supporting the annual golf tournament of the Friends of the Montreal Dreamscape Foundation. This support, combined with the Town's logistical support, greatly contributed to the fund-raising efforts that were essential to the project's success.

Simon Grenier, project manager with the Town of Pincourt's general management, devotedly coordinated every stage of this adventure, from the application process to accompanying the participants. His commitment enabled the young people to experience this trip in the best possible conditions.

The Town of Pincourt is proud of its commitment and its role in this initiative, which enabled four of its young citizens to experience a magical day. The Town of Pincourt would like to extend its warmest thanks to the Fondation Voyages de Rêve-Montréal and Mrs. Louise Arsenault for giving the young people of Pincourt this opportunity, and for their invaluable contribution to this unforgettable experience.
