It was a victorious day on Wednesday October 23 for the Pionniers de Soulanges U15 and U18. The former won their first home game 4-1, while the U18s blackened the score sheet four times to 0 for their opponents.

Despite a long trip to the Lower Laurentians, the U18s played an excellent game, in the opinion of their coach, and won 4-0 against Mirabel High School.

Nathan Dumouchel (2B-0P), Luka Dubois (0B-2P) and Adrien Poirier (1B-1P) led Marc Lauzon's attack with two points each. Poirier also excelled in the face-off circle with an 80% efficiency rating.

Goalie Daphné Dupuy excelled, especially early in the game, and earned her first shutout of the season.

For their part, the U15s played their first home game of the season, with École Mgr-A.M.-Parent as visitors. In front of a noisy crowd, Vincent Lemieux's team got off to an excellent start, with goals from Emerick Travers (2B-0P) and Alexis St-Denis.

The rest of the game was very close, but Soulange held on to win 4-1.

In addition to one assist each, defenseman Antoine Bouliane and forward Noah Berniqué excelled defensively, neutralizing numerous late-game attacks.

Finally, goalkeeper Olivier Laroche also had a strong game, earning his fourth win of the season.
He now boasts an excellent goals-against average of 1.25.
