It will soon be easier to find your way around the Soulanges bike path, which runs through several municipalities along the canal of the same name.

These were the words of Coteau-du-Lac mayor Andrée Brosseau at the town council's regular meeting on Thursday, October 10.

The mayor gave this information in response to a citizen who raised the subject during question period at a previous public meeting.

“He noted, among other things, that it was not possible to locate oneself if necessary on the bike path. I would therefore like to inform you that signs have been installed on the bike path every 5 km to identify nearby rest areas, drinking troughs and toilets. Then, in the near future, signs indicating an emergency number and its location will be installed this autumn to provide better location and improve safety on the bike path”, she shared.
