Olivier Van Neste, Director General of the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion, has announced the retirement of Terry Rousseau, Director of Fire Safety for the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion. Mr. Rousseau will officially step down this week.

Terry Rousseau has been with the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion since March 2012. A man of action and conviction, concerned with respecting the City's obligations inherent in achieving the strike force of the fire safety risk coverage plan, he has always had the safety of citizens and his staff at heart.

“Terry Rousseau was a key player in the implementation of 24-hour fire station staffing, the introduction of a first responder service and the construction of Fire Station 11,” says the General Manager. Under his leadership, the Fire Department's organizational structure has evolved to respond efficiently to the challenges inherent in the city's expansion. Mr. Rousseau's undeniable contribution as assistant coordinator of civil protection is also noteworthy. “I sincerely thank Terry for his contribution to the organization over the years and for his quest for excellence in fire and emergency preparedness. He leaves behind a high-performance team. I am very grateful to him,” added the General Manager.

Until his successor is appointed, Mr. Stéphane Massicotte, Division Manager - Operations, will assume the interim role.
