For Halloween, the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion is once again offering a trail through parc- nature Harwood (3900, route Harwood). From October 5 to November 3, between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., the public is invited to take part in challenges and solve riddles under the theme of Captain Ghost.

On October 25, 26 and 27, the adventure will be enhanced by the addition of complementary activities. “Last year, nearly 4,000 people took part in the game at parc-nature Harwood throughout the month of October. Given the enthusiastic response to this activity, we approached Parcours Ludiques to propose a new concept for Halloween, this time with a pirate theme. We're hoping people will turn out to relive the experience,” says Vincent Bastien, Director of the Leisure and Culture Department.

Guided by a mobile application, adventurers will progress along the route from station to station. To participate, only one Internet-enabled smartphone per group is required. Simply download the free “Parcours Ludiques” app, available on the app Store or Google Play, and enter the VAU24 access code. Lasting around an hour, this tour can be completed rain or shine. In case of rain, however, an umbrella and waterproof boots are recommended. For an evening visit, participants must bring a headlamp or flashlight.

Special program

On October 25, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the route will be punctuated by the presence of scary pirates. This evening is recommended for those aged 12 and over. Additional activities, such as inflatable games and a balancing act, will also take place on October 26, from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., as well as on October 27, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Starting at 1 p.m. on October 26 and 27, the Caravane Mozaïk will be on hand to hold a workshop to create a pirate costume accessory, complete with a photobooth. Sweets and hot drinks will be served free of charge on all three days.

Parking is limited at Harwood Nature Park, so car pooling is recommended. The complete Halloween program is available online on the Town's website in the Recreation and Culture section, under Activities and Events.
