The Soulanges High School U15 Pioneers were eager to get back on the ice for the first time in a few months, when they played their first exhibition game on Monday, September 16.

Fans were out in force to witness this first home game.

The commitment of each player and the quest for a team identity enabled the team to stand out and win the game 8-2 against Westwood High School.

Defenseman Mathis Gaignard's impressive differential enabled him to finish the game with a +7 record. Veteran Adam Latulippe also got on the scoresheet with a hat trick.

Finally, rookie Lukas Moutis, wearing the Pionniers colors for the first time in his career, also scored in this first game.

Only one preseason game remains for the Pionniers U15, on Monday, September 23, 7 p.m. at the Centre Sportif Soulanges, again against Westwood High School.
