On Thursday, September 12, Marie-Claude Nichols, independent MNA for Vaudreuil, handed in to the National Assembly the petition with some 16,222 signatures calling on the government to complete Highway 20 in Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

MNA Nichols, who has made this issue one of her key battles in recent years, was very impressed by the hard work of e-petition instigator Amandine Lengelé and the group of people who launched the paper petition at the initiative of Odette Lalonde, an involved citizen from her riding.

By filing the petition, Marie-Claude Nichols is asking François Legault's government to study the petition, consider the proposals put forward by regional players and work towards finding lasting solutions.

Do you think the official filing of the petition will get things moving? Answer our question of the week by clicking here.
