Death of Mathieu Miljours, former General Manager of the CCIVS
Less than a month after stepping down as General Manager of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mathieu Miljours tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident around midnight on Thursday, September 12. The accident occurred on Chemin du Fleuve, in Les Cèdres, according to information confirmed by the Sûreté du Québec.
A very involved figure in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region, his sudden and unexpected departure will undoubtedly leave a great void in the community.
Before resigning from his position at the CCIVS, Mr. Miljours, a lawyer by profession, had been working there since November 16, 2020. He had been a member of the organization's Board of Directors since 2010, serving as President for four years. Through this long-standing involvement, Mr. Miljours was able to familiarize himself not only with the inner workings of the CCIVS, but also with issues of importance to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges business community.
Shock waves from DEV Vaudreuil-Soulanges
The news of his death sent shock waves through many organizations in Vaudreuil-Soulanges, including DEV. It's a tragic loss. Mathieu was a man who was very involved in the region and believed in its potential and development. He was a loyal ambassador for Vaudreuil-Soulanges, as well as a loving father. Whenever I met him, he always spoke of his children with sparkling eyes. It's a great loss for the community. I would like to extend my sympathies to his loved ones and to all those who knew him from near and far,” says Joanne Brunet, General Manager.
At a press conference at the National Assembly, Vaudreuil MNA Marie-Claude Nichols offered her sincere condolences to Mr. Miljours' loved ones. The entire Néomédia team joins her in offering its sympathies to all those who knew this important player in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.
