This week
Coteau-du-Lac and Saint-Lazare to host blood drives
Héma-Québec will be holding two blood donor clinics in the region this week.
Here are the dates and locations of the scheduled clinics:
Monday, September 9:
Coteau-du-Lac: Centre communautaire Wilson ( 2 rue Georges-Jules-Beaudet, J0P 1B0) from 1pm to 8pm. Goal of 100 donors.
Friday, September 13:
Saint-Lazare: Centre communautaire (1301 rue du Bois, J7T 3E6) from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Target of 60 donors.
We recommend that you make an appointment to donate blood. However, if you are passing by a blood drive and are available to donate, please check with the team on site to see if they can accommodate you.
Before giving blood
In the hours leading up to your blood donation, we recommend that you drink a minimum of 500 ml of water or juice and eat well, avoiding fatty foods. To make blood collection easier, wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up above the elbow.
You should also carry your donor card or proof of identity.
Strict selection criteria have been established if you wish to donate blood. To find out more about these criteria or to obtain further information, visit the organization's website.
