On Sunday, September 8, Peter Schiefke, Member of Parliament for Vaudreuil-Soulanges, held his annual ceremony at the Auberge des Gallants to honor the 26 individuals and organizations in Vaudreuil-Soulanges who received the 2024 Community Service Award.

The annual award, created by MP Peter Schiefke in 2017 to mark Canada's 150th birthday, honors individuals whose dedication enriches the community.

Each of the 26 honorees has contributed in his or her own way to supporting families in need, promoting local culture, protecting the environment, keeping seniors active, safe and healthy, celebrating diversity and ensuring animals find loving homes.

The honorees also received the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their work in serving their communities.

“It is an honor to present the 2024 Community Service Award winners: a collection of outstanding individuals and organizations who have exceeded expectations in service to our Vaudreuil-Soulanges community. These awards recognize their unwavering commitment and essential role in fostering growth, unity and prosperity within our society. As I've always said, a community is only as strong as the 'leaders' who guide it, and we're truly privileged to have so many of them in Vaudreuil-Soulanges,” emphasized the MP.
